There is a new yahoo messenger service from Escargot, the people who started the MSN/WLM Messenger project and grew to over 9 million users in 6 or more years. there must be some changes you have to make to yahoo messenger in order to use it with Escargot servers but in any case, it's worth doing if you really want to get into yahoo messenger with your friends and/or family. go to the main website of Escargot to find the instructions. it's not as much to expect from an online service but it's in the experimental stages still.
